Return App — Additional Data Practices

The following additional practices apply specifically to the Return app.

Return collects and stores receipt and financial data on your behalf. This includes purchase history, store names, order numbers, transaction amounts, currency, and the last four digits and brand of the payment card used, as extracted from your merchant receipt emails.

When you sign in to Return, your email address and a unique user identifier are collected via Google or Apple sign-in and processed by Supabase, our authentication provider.

Receipt emails forwarded to your Return email alias are stored in Azure Blob Storage and their contents are sent to OpenAI to extract structured receipt data. This means the full text of your merchant receipt emails, including any personal or financial information contained within them, is transmitted to OpenAI for processing.

Return may collect your device's precise location to identify which store you are currently in and surface the relevant receipts. Location data is stored on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Return uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send you push notifications. A device token is collected and shared with Google (FCM) for this purpose.

You may delete your Return account and all associated data at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, all receipts, receipt items, stored files, and your account record are permanently removed from our systems.
